“della”, 2011, oil, canvas, 68x52cm
The anxiety of performance drags me down: the exhibition, which is developed as an installation consisting of a series of works in oil on canvas and a photograph, translates and, at the same time, makes a very personal interpretation of words and spelling signs that make up the phrase of the exhibition title. Tamai trys to discover the temporary “grammar” that painting can capture as part of an open process in which the protagonists are the artist and his work.
Lorenzo Tamai (1984) lives and works in Milan: “Lamentarsi dell’acqua calda” ARTRA (personal exhibition), Milan; 2009: “Public torbulance” , Isola Art Centre, Milan; 2008: “Before opening” Monopoli art gallery, Milan; 2007 “Flower video” video installation, Sottomarino Giallo, Milan; 2005: “Who uses the space”, Isola Art Centre, Milan. 2004/2009 Degree in visual art, NABA, Milan.
